Fighters of the Center group of forces destroyed AFU firing points in Novoelezavetovka

Military units of the Center troops have used drones to destroy firing points and command and observation posts of Ukrainian militants in Novoye Lizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. The Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the attack drones' combat work during the liberation of the settlement on January 29.

The fighters used strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They also engaged artillery crews to destroy the exposed enemy positions.

"Later, the attackers cleared houses and structures from the remnants of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine. - Ed.) garrison units and liberated the occupied settlement," the department added.

The DNR reported on the liberation of Novelizavetovka earlier in the day. In addition, the AFU brigades' manpower and equipment in the areas of Andreevka, Novopavlovka, Udachny, Shcherbinovka and Tarasovka in the DNR were defeated.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
