The Tula Region has become a leader in reducing road deaths

According to the results of 2024, the Tula region ranked first in Russia in terms of the rate of reduction in the number of deaths on regional roads as a result of traffic accidents. This was reported during a meeting of the board of the UMVD on Wednesday, January 29.

As TSN24 notes, this is the best result for the last 45 years (since 1980). On local highways managed to save an additional 49 lives.

Earlier "Izvestia" wrote that according to the results of 11 months of 2024 in Russia, the trend to reduce the number of road accidents and the severity of their consequences was maintained. For some types of accidents the decrease is significant, for others there is an increase.
