Three oilseed mills to be built in the Chelyabinsk Region

Three oilseed processing plants will be built in the Chelyabinsk Region. These plans were announced by Evgeny Litvinov, the region's First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, at a press conference at the Granada Press publishing house, according to Ura.ru news agency on Wednesday, January 29.

According to the representative of the department, two enterprises will produce oil and cake from flax, the third will produce sunflower oil. The projects are at the stage of realization.

According to the newspaper, the investors are now forming sites for the workshops and preparing design and estimate documentation. The regional Ministry of Agriculture specified that one of the plants for working with flax will be built by the company "Chebarkulskaya Poultry" in the Chebarkulsky district. The possible investor of the second enterprise is "Troitsk elevator", it will be built in Troitsk.

Construction of a sunflower processing plant will begin in 2026. The authorities have not yet determined the location of the facility. The source of the agency admitted that the production will be organized in Kopeysk. Its capacity will be 200 thousand tons of products annually.

Earlier, in November, it was reported that beer production in the Chelyabinsk region doubled. Experts assume that the statistics could be affected by the activities of Rosalkogolregulirovanie. Breweries are being actively checked, and this will continue until May.
