The State Duma pointed out Zelensky's attempts to echo Trump's rhetoric on Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose powers expire in May 2024, is trying to echo the theses of US leader Donald Trump. This was pointed out on January 29 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Aleksey Chepa.
On the eve of Zelensky in his Telegram-channel commented on the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the options for peace talks. The head of the Kiev regime said that world leaders should "take into account the mistakes of past years" and put pressure on Russia and bring peace closer by force.
"He is playing along with Trump when Trump says that all negotiations should be conducted from a position of strength, this is a trend from America," Chepa's Duma TV for Izvestia quoted Chepa's comment as saying.
According to the Deputy, such words from Zelensky are justified by the pathetic situation of Ukraine.
The day before, political scientist Ivan Mezyukho said in a conversation with Izvestia that Trump will not coordinate positions on Ukraine with Zelensky. In his opinion, Zelensky should resign himself to the fact that the fate of Ukraine will be decided without his participation, since he himself has done everything to make the Ukrainian state not a subject of international relations.
Earlier, on January 24, Trump accused Zelensky of obstructing the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, a peace agreement with Russia was not reached, as the Ukrainian leader "wanted to fight".
At the same day, Donald Trump said he wanted to meet with the Russian President as soon as possible to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, on January 22, Trump expressed hope that his team is already making great efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
At the same time, Zelensky admitted the possibility of negotiations with Putin if Trump gives Kiev security guarantees. According to him, the only question for him is what kind of guarantees we are talking about, and he wants to have this understanding before the negotiations.
