US President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning the financing of sex change operations for persons under 19 years of age. This was reported on January 28 on the White House website.

"Today, across the country, doctors are mutilating and sterilizing more and more impressionable children, following the radical and false claim that adults can change a child's gender through a series of irreversible medical interventions. This dangerous trend will be a stain on our country's history and must be stopped," the statement said.

According to the statement, the sex-changed children will soon regret "being mutilated" and realize the tragedy of not being able to have children of their own. They may also face lifelong medical complications.

"It is the policy of the United States that it will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called gender transition of a child", the White House wrote.
