Two people killed and two injured in a road accident with a carshare car in St. Petersburg

A fatal accident involving a carshare car occurred in the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg. On Wednesday night, at 2:35, near the house on Lesnoy Avenue, a foreign car Kia Rio hit a curb, and then crashed into the wall of the house.

As specified by TV channel "78", as a result of the accident killed two passengers of the car. The driver and another passenger are hospitalized in serious condition.

The fact of the incident is being checked, the results of which will decide on the initiation of criminal proceedings.

In mid-January it was reported about the accident also involving a carsharing car in St. Petersburg. One person was killed.

Earlier it was reported that at the end of 2024 the carsharing fleet in Moscow reached a record high of 40 thousand cars. It was planned to come to such an indicator according to the strategy of development of the transport complex of Moscow only in 2030.
