Tactical exercises of the Belarusian army and defense forces started near Gomel

Tactical exercises with territorial defense forces are held in Homel voblast, in which units of territorial troops together with engineering units of the Belarusian Armed Forces take part. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry in the official Telegram channel on January 29.

The report notes that the exercise is monitored by the head of the General Staff - First Deputy Defense Minister of Belarus, Major-General Pavel Muraveiko.

The purpose of the exercise is to improve the skills of commanders in the management of subordinate units of territorial troops, as well as to train personnel to perform their tasks during operations conducted by territorial defense units.

During the exercise, the issues of supplying units with ammunition, reconnaissance of suspected enemy positions and the use of territorial defense forces in combat operations are being worked out.
