Auto expert warns about the harm of film for the paintwork of the car

After removing the film from the car body, paint peeling can be noticed on plastic elements. This happens because car manufacturers have recently been saving money on painting plastic elements, said Alexander Smith, owner of the Carbase network of detailing centers, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on January 29.
"Bumpers, for example, are often painted without primer, and not enough base is applied along the edges. Because of this, adhesion (bonding) between plastic and paintwork becomes worse than on metal elements," Smith explained.
The film has a very high adhesion to the paintwork, he said. However, paint undermining occurs between the paintwork and the plastic due to poor adhesion. With metal elements, this can happen only if the part was repainted after repair and pasted immediately after painting, without proper drying time.
The day before, technical expert Pavel Bakharev said that the manufacturers of most modern cars claim that the oil in the automatic transmission is designed for the entire life of the car. However, the resource of the fluid is limited, and the service life of the car is not known, he explained.
January 23, auto expert Alexei Balashov said that many Russian drivers in winter make mistakes that can lead to serious damage to the car. Thus, a number of motorists on slippery roads begin to brake sharply, which can lead to skidding and loss of control over the car, said the expert.
