In Thailand on the island of Phangan in the southern province of Surat Thani, police detained five Russian citizens for conducting labor activities in a kindergarten without work permits. This was reported by the newspaper Khaosod on January 29.

It is noted that neither opened a private kindergarten called CoolSchool. During the inspection, law enforcers detained four Russians in connection with working without proper authorization, and another Russian citizen - in connection with running an illegal business.

In addition, police detained two Ukrainians and one citizen of Myanmar. The inspection took place as part of the fight against illegal labor activity of foreign citizens in tourist zones.

Earlier, on January 25, Detik portal reported that the Indonesian police detained a German citizen Andrei Frei - the head of the tourist complex PARQ Ubud, known as "Russian village", in Bali. According to law enforcers, he illegally converted agricultural land in Ubud district for the construction of villas and various tourist facilities.
