In Russia in 2024, 128 mln tons of grain are tentatively harvested


Russian agrarians will preliminarily harvest 128 million tons of grain by the end of 2024. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Oksana Lut on January 29 during a speech at the annual All-Russian agronomic meeting.
"We had frosts, there was drought, there were rains during harvesting, but, nevertheless, it did not prevent us from collecting the fifth in the history of the grain result. So far, according to statistics we have 128 million tons, in March we will receive the final data from Rosstat, respectively, we expect that it will be 130 million tons, as we planned, I think, at the beginning of the season," she said.
The Minister added that Russia has the potential to develop exports. Thus, according to her data, last year the country exported a record volume of grain - 72 million tons.
