The sum of claims of 17 Russian TV channels to Google reached 1.81 duodecillion rubles (a unit with 39 zeros - Ed.) by mid-January. This was reported by RBC on January 29, citing two sources.

The publication specifies that Google had accumulated such a debt by January 15 due to the refusal to restore media accounts from Russia on YouTube. In November, the amount of the fine reached another two undecillion rubles (a unit with 36 zeros - Ed.).

According to the publication, the debt will increase every day due to delays in its payment. It is noted that this amount has long exceeded the entire GDP of the world, so the parties will have to find another way to resolve the dispute.

Earlier, on January 23, the high court of England and Wales granted Google's application for protection from lawsuits by Russian TV channels. According to the ruling, the injunction granted restricts the right of the three defendants - RT, Tsargrad and Spas - to start new or continue ongoing legal proceedings against Google for blocking YouTube channels of Russian media resources in any jurisdictions other than the UK and the US.

Earlier, on January 14, a court in Moscow fined Google 8 billion rubles for evading payments. The company was found guilty under part 1 of article 20.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Evasion of administrative punishment").
