Geely has unveiled its first electric crossover EX5 in Russia


Geely will debut on the Russian market of electric cars. The brand's first model in this segment will be the EX5 crossover, according to the company's statement, which was received by Izvestia on January 29. Sales start dates and prices have not been specified yet.
Geely EX5 is built on the modular architecture GEEA 3.0, which is designed specifically for electric vehicles. The Short Blade lithium-iron-phosphate battery allows you to drive up to 430 kilometers on a single charge. Fast charging time from 10 to 80% is 28 minutes, and the total battery life exceeds 1 million kilometers or 3,500 charging cycles.
The power plant consists of an electric motor, which is located on the front axle and produces 218 hp. With a weight of 2,750 kg, the crossover is able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The model measures 4615 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. It is claimed that the car's space utilization ratio is a record in the segment - 67.2%.
The crossover has fully LED optics and hidden door handles. The air resistance coefficient is 0.269 Cd, which the company calls one of the best in class. The interior features a 15.4-inch multimedia system screen and a 10-inch dashboard. The Flyme Auto operating system, first introduced on a Geely model, is responsible for digital capabilities.
The day before, sales of the Avatr 11 electric crossover started in Russia. The price of the model starts from 6.95 million rubles. The electric crossover is presented in Russia in three modifications, which differ in powertrain and interior layout.
