"Sport-Express" has compiled a rating of the most media faces of Russian sport

"Sport-Express" published a rating of media personalities of sports in Russia by the end of 2024, which included 50 people. This became known on January 29.
As noted by the compilers of the sports rating, the main goal of the project is to see as many new names as possible to understand that Russian sport is developing and gaining popularity.
It is noted that the first place was won by hockey player and forward of the team "Washington Capitals" Alexander Ovechkin.
"I open a newspaper or some news publication, and look scored, not scored. "I'm interested in Washington only in terms of whether Ovechkin scored or not," said former Russian national soccer team head coach Stanislav Cherchesov.
Cherchesov also added that he did not know about this rating, in which he was in 27th place.
It is specified that the rating is based on the number of mentions in the media, followers in social networks or significant victories, as well as statements in the press.
In the same rating there were figure skaters, tennis players, and fighters, but the number of soccer players is particularly notable.
Thus, two-time USSR champion and ex-Spartak footballer Alexander Mostovoi took 18th place in the top because of his high quotability. Mostovoi himself admitted that he was pleasantly surprised by such a thing.
In November last year, experts and the team of the publication "Sport-Express" made a rating of 55 of the most talented young footballers in Russia. The list included players no older than 19 years old. At the head was 19-year-old midfielder Lokomotiv Alexei Batrakov, whose transfer value has increased almost seven times in a few months. Also in the top three were Danila Kozlov of Krasnodar and Viktor Okishor of Dynamo.
