Criminal case opened after a road accident with eight victims in Barnaul


A criminal case has been opened in Barnaul after a traffic accident involving a bus and a streetcar, which injured eight people. This was reported on January 29 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Altai Krai in Telegram-channel.
"The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to initiate criminal proceedings on the fact of an accident with public transport in the Altai region," - stated in the statement.
It was reported that on January 28 in Barnaul at the intersection of A. Petrova-Malakhov streets there was a collision of streetcar number 7 and route bus number 35.
On this fact, the investigative authorities initiated a case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules").
Earlier, on January 23, a criminal case was opened in Volgograd region after a traffic accident with a school bus, where one child was killed and eight more people were injured. The accident with a school bus and a car occurred on the road Volgograd - Kotelnikovo - Salsk on the same day.
