Students and employees of the National Research University "MIET" - the supporting higher education institution of the special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow" - have collected more than 150 kg of humanitarian aid for the participants of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported on January 29 on the official website of the Mayor of Moscow.
Director General of the special economic zone "Technopolis Moscow" Gennady Degtev said that SEZ enterprises actively participate in humanitarian actions and help not only participants of the SWO and residents of border regions, but also children's shelters and centers for keeping homeless animals.
"Another action to collect humanitarian aid was held at the National Research University "MIET". For two weeks employees and students collected 150 kg of warm clothes, various household chemicals and special means, which have already been transferred to the front line", - he noted.
It is specified that employees and students of the university collected sets of thermal underwear, tools, catalytic heaters, fleece clothing and even independently woven camouflage nets.
Back in August 2024, employees of the research university handed over 250 kilograms of humanitarian cargo to residents of the Kursk region, and in September they collected items for residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
The collection of humanitarian aid for residents of the border regions was held at the sites of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ. In total, employees of the management company and employees of enterprises brought more than 2.5 tons of various products. For example, the capital's coffee and sweets factory sent more than one ton of its products from 2022. In addition, the company delivered to the zone of special military operation 4.5 thousand bags of coffee beans, which are used by servicemen for the equipment of decking.
Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that Moscow cafes and restaurants took part in the collection of aid for soldiers participating in the Special Military Operation. For example, in the Southern Administrative District of the capital for the delivery of humanitarian goods united three establishments. Together they handed over rice, buckwheat, peas, pasta, more than 250 jars of pate and canned food, about 100 packs of tea, 200 packs of cookies and 150 kilograms of sugar.
