Three children were injured in a traffic accident involving a bus in Omsk. This was reported on January 29 on the website of the UMVD of Russia in Omsk region.

They indicated that a 33-year-old woman driving a car "Toyota" failed to cope with the control and drove into the lane of oncoming traffic, where she collided with a bus "PAZ". The accident occurred near the intersection of the 21st Amur Street and Zavertyaeva, specified in the department.

It is noted that as a result of the accident the passengers of the car needed medical assistance: boys of six and seven years old, as well as a six-year-old girl.

The causes and circumstances of the accident are being investigated.

On the eve of the head of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General of Police Mikhail Chernikov said that the number of people killed in traffic accidents last year, decreased by 0.9%. According to him, the main reasons for the death of people on the roads are driving into oncoming traffic lanes (24.8%) and collisions with pedestrians (23%).
