The support of American businessman Ilon Musk for right-wing politicians in Europe is a disgusting fact. This statement was made by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on January 28.

"I completely disagree with Ilon Musk and what he is doing..... He is supporting right-wing politicians all over Europe. And that's really disgusting," he said in an interview with CNN.

Scholz also said that this is not good for democratic development throughout the European Union. However, he added that as a political leader, he is not used to media moguls interfering in German politics.

The next day, January 26, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk criticized the words of the businessman. According to him, the billionaire's statement made at an election event of the Alternative for Germany party that Germans should not feel guilty for Nazi crimes sounded "too familiar and ominous."

On January 21, Musk criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for his statements about free speech in Europe, while misrepresenting the politician's name. Musk wrote on his social media page X (formerly Twitter): "Shame on you, Oaf Schiets." It is specified that the word oaf in English translates as "dumbass".

Before that, on January 10, it was reported that the Bundestag began a check in connection with the possible illegal influence of Musk on the upcoming elections to the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany.
