This year's holiday schedule will not include long weekends in February and March. Dmitry Dudarev, HR Director at KROS, told Prime on January 29.

According to the expert, in February on the Defender of the Fatherland Day and in March on International Women's Day will not be the usual long weekend, because February 23, 2025 falls on a Sunday or a day off with a standard work week, and March 8 in the current year is also a standard day off - Saturday. Also, the workday on March 7 will be shortened by one hour.

At the same time, it is possible to get an additional day of rest for these holidays, only they will be postponed to May 8 and June 13, respectively.

It is noted that the postponements to May and June will provide an opportunity for a longer vacation at other times of the year.

Earlier, January 13, Director of HR and organizational development service "Work.ru" Yulia Sanina said that the next short working week in Russia will be from 28th to 30th of April. According to her, that Thursday, May 1, is a day off, which celebrates the Labor Day holiday. The next day, Friday, May 2, will be a non-working day due to the postponement of January 4. At the same time, April 30 will be a reduced working day.
