Grad MLRS systems hit AFU strongholds with equipment and manpower

Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the All-Russian Army of the Zapad group of troops have destroyed strongholds, pickup trucks, automatic rocket-propelled grenade launchers, mortar launchers, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control points and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on January 29.
The ministry added that the artillerymen received coordinates from scouts, after which they took advantageous firing positions, deployed guns, aimed them at the detected targets, which were at a distance of more than 10 km, and fired volleys of 122-millimeter rockets.
The destruction of the enemy positions was confirmed by UAV operators. The calculations left the positions and went to a safe place.
"We hit, it turns out, strongholds, concentrations of the enemy's personal force, pickup trucks, mortar crews, AGS crews, UAV control points," reported the commander of the firing platoon with the call sign Douglas.
The Grad MLRS units are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 10 to 20 kilometers. This weapon poses a serious threat to the enemy, because it is able to inflict fire damage while remaining out of direct line of sight. Artillerymen have to work in the most difficult conditions on a daily basis, but the trained crews spend only a few minutes after receiving the target before firing, using the tactic of frequent changes of firing positions.
Earlier, on January 28, the Defense Ministry reported that crews of T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks of the All-Union Army of the "West" group of forces destroyed a platoon stronghold, an unmanned aerial vehicle control point and a SPG-9 grenade laun cher crew of the AFU militants in the SSO zone.
