A coach gave advice on choosing a sport for a child

Master of Sports in freestyle wrestling, winner and medalist of All-Russian competitions, Russian championship and many other tournaments Anastasia Testova gave advice to parents on choosing a sport for their child.
In a conversation with RuNews24.Ru agency on Tuesday, January 28, the expert said that any sport is good, but parents often choose a child's sport based on their own preferences, and forget to ask the child about his or her desires.
"In this matter, it is important that sports bring pleasure to the child, not only health benefits. On the part of parents it is very important to notice in time the child's interest in any sport and support him in his choice," Testova emphasized.
According to her, as a coach she looks first of all at the structure and physical data of the child, as well as at his involvement and willingness to work. She explained that an interested child clearly hears the remarks, approaches the exercises with interest, tries to be responsible for the coach's instructions, RT writes. It is this approach that gives results.
Testova added that good physical data do not guarantee success in sports, but interest, desire and dedication do.
In conclusion, the coach added that any physical activity is important for the development of a child's personality, as it forms, among other things, social skills, corrects the emotional state of children, as well as develops character.
Earlier, January 27, children's swimming coach Alexandra Balueva said that you can start swimming lessons immediately after the birth of a child. She stressed that prior consultation of a pediatrician is necessary. Swimming is a complex of exercises aimed at all-round development of the body. The child learns to better coordinate their movements, improves large and fine motor skills, strengthens the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, according to the site 360.ru.
January 25, it was reported that the festival of school sports, which was held on January 25 in "Luzhniki" in the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow", was visited by more than 5 thousand citizens. Guests took part in active games and ski races, as well as met with Olympic stars, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".
Earlier, the coach, rehabilitologist Evgeny Babydov told what sports should be avoided with scoliosis. According to him, it is undesirable to swim in the pool without the supervision of a coach working with patients with scoliosis. According to him, also children with confirmed scoliosis are not recommended any sports with asymmetric load until the course of corrective exercises.
