Belarusian Foreign Minister commented on potential BRICS membership

Belarus has the task to become a member of BRICS, said the head of the Foreign Ministry of the republic Maxim Ryzhenkov in an interview with Izvestia.

The country's parliament is discussing the possibility of joining the union

"Becoming a member of BRICS is our task. But we must also look around in the organization, and for others to get used to us, to see that we have stability in our aspirations. Then we will see," the minister said.

The republic officially became a BRICS partner country on November 11, 2024.
