The library will be opened in the former building of Pskov's Oktyabr movie theater in February

In Pskov in February they plan to open a library and a regional tourist center, which will be located in the former building of the cinema "October". This was reported to the Pskov newswire by the Culture Committee of the Pskov region.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for February 20, when the Pskov region celebrates Flag Day. In the reconstructed building of "October", located in the city center, moved to the historical and local history library named after I.I. Vasilyov.

As the publication specifies, the two-story building has been remodeled, the basement has been arranged, where the offices of the staff and the book depository are located. On the other floors there are now two reading rooms, exhibition space, areas for training and master classes, co-working, a conference hall with a cinema, a tourist center and a cafe. On the second floor, a viewing platform with a panoramic view of the Trinity Cathedral and Dovmontov City was also prepared for visitors.

Initially it was planned to open the library at the end of August 2024, when the region celebrated its 80th anniversary.
