A case has been opened over the deaths of two women in a fire in the Lipetsk Region

A criminal case has been opened in the Lipetsk region over the death of two women in a fire in a private house. This was reported by the regional Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee in its Telegram channel on Tuesday, January 28.

The fire occurred a week ago, on the morning of January 22, in the village of Kurilovka, Usman district. A private residential house caught fire on Dalnyaya Street.

In the course of extinguishing the fire rescuers found the bodies of the 60-year-old mistress of the house and her 34-year-old daughter. According to preliminary data, the cause of their death was carbon monoxide poisoning.

A criminal case was opened under Part 3 Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence". A number of expert examinations have been appointed, investigative actions are being carried out.
