The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has called for sending the sons of the country's high-ranking officials to the front line. This was reported by Estonian broadcaster ERR on January 28.

"We have a lot of police officers. We have employees of military commissions. There are also sons of parliamentarians. Let everyone come here!" - Yuri, a serviceman of the Ukrainian army, stated.

It is specified that on the front line there is growing dissatisfaction with politicians who "talk a lot about victory, but do little."

The soldier with the call sign Rebel also said that the AFU does not have enough people. According to him, the military do not remember what a vacation is and when they last had a day off.

Earlier, on January 24, the Ukrainian edition of Hromadske reported that at least a third of all servicemen of the 157th separate assault brigade of the AFU had left its location unauthorized. One of the soldiers shared that the brigade is being "dismantled for spare parts", so there is no coherent work.

Before that, on January 23, the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired on May 20, 2024) Andriy Yermak reported a difficult and tense situation on the front for the AFU. According to him, the difficulty lies in the insufficient equipment of brigades.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
