The bulk of pension savings were formed in the period from 2002 to 2013 by people who were officially employed and benefited from the insurance contributions of their employers. Since 2014, such benefits have remained only for those who make voluntary pension contributions, as well as for women who have deposited the funds remaining from maternity capital after the child reaches the age of three. Diana Suvorova, a leading lawyer at Legis Veritas, told Izvestia on January 28.

"The main part of the savings was formed in the period from 2002 to 2013 by citizens who were employed officially and received benefits at the expense of employer's insurance premiums," Suvorova explained.

According to the specialist, for registration of payments it is necessary to apply to the pension or social fund. In the process, it will be necessary to submit an application indicating the desired period of receipt of payments (the minimum period is 10 years), as well as to provide identity documents, SNILS and other papers confirming the right to savings.

"Only two categories of citizens can apply for a term payment: those entitled to an early pension, for example, representatives of hazardous occupations due to harmful and difficult working conditions, as well as "standard" pensioners who have reached the age of 55 for women and 60 for men, respectively. Pensioners take into account the length of service and individual pension coefficient", - summarized Suvorova.

Earlier, on January 24, "Izvestia" got acquainted with the study of analysts of NPF "Dostoinoye FUTURE", who studied the regional distribution of pension fund payments based on the data of the Bank of Russia. According to the study, non-state pension funds (NPF) from January to September 2024 paid 129 billion rubles to Russians, which exceeded the figures of the same period of 2023 by 9%.
