Damages from fraud of blogger Shabutdinov exceeded 57 million rubles

The damage from the activities of the blogger, business coach Ayaz Shabutdinov, who is accused of fraud, amounted to 57 million rubles. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday, January 28.

The agency said that the criminal case against the blogger was transferred to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment, the preliminary investigation has been completed.

"Shabutdinov is charged with committing 113 episodes of fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He is being held in custody. The damage exceeds 57 million rubles," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel of the supervisory agency.

Shabutdinov was detained on November 3, 2023 after complaints about the educational courses he sold. The next day the blogger was arrested. Earlier on Tuesday, January 28 this year, the court extended his arrest until February 27. Shabutdinov promised his clients that his marathons, webinars and trainings would allegedly help them open a successful business.

In addition, the court arrested the property of Shabutdinov and the property of his accomplice Vasily Alekseev in 2023. The total value of these assets is 100 million rubles. Alekseev was put on the wanted list, and on July 26, 2024 this figure was arrested in absentia. The blogger's accomplice is accused under the same article as Shabutdinov and is charged with 92 episodes of fraud. Later, on October 31, 2024, the court declared the spouse of Shabutdinov's defendant Elena Alekseeva wanted. As indicated by the investigator at the court hearing, the spouses are hiding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
