- Sergunina invited Muscovites and tourists to the exhibition of the Tretyakov Gallery at VDNH

300 excursions have been held on the exhibition of the Tretyakov Gallery at VDNKh for two months. Almost two thousand Muscovites and guests of the city participated in them, said Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.
"In total, the exposition has already been visited by more than 45 thousand people. Come to admire paintings, sculptures and other works by Soviet and modern authors," she added.
The exhibition is devoted to domestic art of the XX-XXI centuries. It opened in the newly renovated pavilion No. 1 "Central" in November 2024. In eight halls with a total area of 2.5 thousand square meters placed more than 30 exhibits.
For example, visitors can see Alexander Deineka's mosaic "Good Morning", a model of Vera Mukhina's monumental composition "Worker and Kolkhoz Woman" and the high relief "Glory to the Banner Bearer of the World, to the Soviet People!" created by a group of sculptors headed by Evgeny Vuchetich.
Another hall contains a series of four canvases by contemporary painters. These are collages depicting heroes of paintings by Viktor Vasnetsov, Boris Kustodiev, Karl Bryullov, Kazimir Malevich, Mikhail Vrubel and other famous artists.
They also prepared a video installation "Hymns of Muscovy" for the guests. It familiarizes with the architecture of the capital in different years.
The exposition is open until September. You can visit it from Tuesday to Sunday. Entrance by ticket.
VDNKh continues restoration of historical pavilions and creation of new modern spaces for education and recreation. It is assumed that by 2030 the congress and exhibition center "VDNKh Expo", which began construction last year, will become the main specialized platform of the country, and the "Museum City" of the complex - the main cultural and educational cluster of Russia.
