A new warehouse was opened in Belarus to supply BMW and Toyota cars to Russia


The first consignment warehouse was opened in Belarus, which is designed to store and supply cars to Russian dealer networks of Chinese, Korean and European brands, including Li Auto, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Toyota. The opening of the warehouse was reported to Izvestia on January 28 by the Chinese export company Chongqing Biulu Automotive Technology.
The warehouse is located near Minsk, its area is 5 thousand square meters, while the throughput capacity is 400 cars per month. The warehouse is managed by the Russian operator Terminal A, a partner of Biulu. It is responsible for car sales - from interaction with customers to customs clearance and delivery of cars to buyers.
The company noted that the consignment warehouse allows to optimize customs clearance costs, opens the possibility for dealer networks not to pay commercial scrappage duty, as cars are released into free circulation immediately to the final buyer.
"The main goal of Terminal A is to provide dealers with the necessary number of cars on favorable terms, including at the expense of a preferential rate of utilization fee. In fact, we offer car dealers to sell cars on commission terms without using their own operating funds," Terminal A CEO Yuri Ten is quoted as saying.
On January 17, "Izvestia" found out that sales of new passenger cars of premium brands from Europe, theUnited States and Japan, which are no longer officially represented in the country's market, have increased in Russia. It is noteworthy that despite the sanctions, including the ban on importing certain cars into our country, some models showed literally explosive sales growth.
