The head of the Law and Justice parliamentary faction, Mariusz Blaszczak, demanded on January 28 that Polish Education Minister Barbara Nowacka resign over the "Polish Nazis" clause.

During a speech in Krakow the previous day, Nowacka said that "Polish Nazis built camps in German-occupied territory."

"This is a disqualification of the education minister, Barbara Nowacka, she must resign. If she doesn't, we will consider filing a vote of no confidence," Blaszczak was quoted by wPolityce as saying.

The Minister of Education, in turn, in social network X (former Twitter) apologized about the reservation.

"Obviously, the camps were built by Germans, Polish Nazis did not exist. This is a historical truth, as I repeatedly stated in a speech during a conference in Krakow. For the obvious caveat, I apologize," she wrote.

Every year on January 27, the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust is celebrated around the world. On this day in 1945, the Red Army in Poland liberated the largest Nazi death camp Auschwitz (German Auschwitz). Representatives of Russia, as the successor of the USSR, were not invited by the Polish authorities to the events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, which caused criticism in the world.

Rabbi Alexander Boroda said at a press conference at the Izvestia IEC that Jews in the Russian Federation have a bad attitude to the fact that representatives of the Russian Federation were not invited to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The community advocates that the truth about Russia's true contribution to the victory in World War II and to the rescue of Jews should be heard louder and louder. Beard added that Jews also remember the help of other nations, such as the Serbs, Albanians, Bulgarians and Danes.
