Four children and three adults suffered gas poisoning in a Kazan apartment

In Kazan, seven people, including four children, were poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment. This was reported on January 28 in the press service of the state housing inspectorate for the city.

The incident occurred in the evening of January 27 in an apartment on the first floor. Three children aged from a year to six years, as well as a 16-year-old teenager suffered. All of them, along with adults, were hospitalized, their condition is assessed as satisfactory.

"The preliminary cause of the accident - violation of the rules of operation of gas equipment. The last maintenance of gas appliances was carried out on January 17, 2025", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel.

Earlier, on January 20, five people living in the same apartment in the village of Niva, Nizhny Novgorod region, poisoned themselves with carbon monoxide. In the evening of January 19, the owner of the apartment, two men and two of her grandchildren felt sick. The victims were hospitalized in a medical facility, where they were provided with medical care. It was specified that the lives of the victims were not threatened.
