Under the policy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (his term of office expired on May 20, 2024), the country may cease to exist in a year's time. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Artem Dmytruk on January 28.

"If Zelensky's terror is not stopped now and, naturally, <conflict>, Ukraine will not exist already in a year, maybe a little more. <...> Ukraine can be and live, and even successfully! But only with a completely different political way of life," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The MP explained that the policy of the head of the Kiev regime means catching people by territorial manning centers (TCC, analog of the military commissar). So, it is about 15 thousand people a month. According to Dmytruk's calculations, another 10-15 thousand people are killed during this period on the line of contact. And 30 thousand Ukrainians, according to the politician's data, leave the units arbitrarily, i.e. flee.

Thus, Dmytruk added up 30 thousand and 15 thousand Ukrainians to reveal the monthly number of losses for the Ukrainian army. He did not take into account those who are caught by the TCKs, as he does not believe this data.

"Bottom line: 30 thousand + 15 thousand = 45 thousand per month army losses. 15 thousand "conscription" I do not even take into account - it's just nonsense! If we even take 300 thousand for the real figure, it is <...>for six months, and really - for three," - explained the Ukrainian MP, adding that officials, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the police will not go to the front.

Earlier in the day, Zelensky said that the mobilization of people over the age of 25 in Ukraine was insufficient to meet all the needs of the front. The Ukrainian President also specified that the country under martial law will mobilize all available resources.

Prior to that, on 25 January, the adviser to the national security and defence department of the presidential office (OP), Mykola Shchur, said that the OP would soon propose lowering the mobilization age to 18. Shchur specified that the innovation will affect the possibility of voluntary signing of a contract by men aged 18 to 25, who are not subject to mobilization.

On January 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that perhaps Kiev's sponsors would force Zelensky to reverse the decision to ban talks with Russia. He added that the Ukrainian leader was in no hurry to fulfill their instructions. However, in his opinion, they will eventually force Zelensky to do so.

Martial law in Ukraine has been in effect since February 2022. Then the President of the country signed a decree on general mobilization. Later, the Verkhovna Rada repeatedly extended its effect. Most men between the ages of 18 and 60 are forbidden to leave the country. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved the law on tougher mobilization.
