The State Duma said that all factions support a complete ban on vape devices

Representative of the lower house of parliament Vyacheslav Volodin said at the plenary session on Tuesday, January 28, that the initiative for a complete ban on vape devices was supported by all factions of the State Duma.

"It is very good that all factions support this decision," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Volodin also noted that a dialog should be held with the government to bring the initiative to the legislative level.

The State Duma may consider a bill on this as early as March

Earlier in the day it was reported that in the State Duma finalized the bill on a complete ban on vape devices in Russia. It was noted that the project involves a ban on the production and ownership of equipment for the production of nicotine raw materials, nicotine-containing and nicotine-free liquids, devices for their consumption.

Before that, on December 26, 2024, a bill on a complete ban on the sale of vapes and liquids for them was sent to the specialized committee of the State Duma. The reason for the creation of the project was a sharp increase in the number of users of electronic smoking devices.
