A bribery case has been opened against the Deputy Minister of Property Relations of Karelia

The Deputy Minister of Property and Land Relations of the Republic of Karelia has been prosecuted for large-scale bribery. This was reported on January 28 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (ICS) of Russia in the region.

"The man is suspected of committing a crime under p. "in" part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receipt of a bribe by an official in the form of rendering him illegal services of a property nature, committed on a large scale")", - stated in the message published in the Telegram-channel.

The investigation believes that in the period from 2020 to 2022, the figure received a bribe for general patronage from a representative of a commercial organization in the form of illegal provision of services of a property nature in the amount of more than 500 thousand rubles - the deputy minister and his family were provided with a free vacation in a state recreational facility.

The place of service and residence of the suspect was searched. Evidence is being collected, the issue of bringing charges and choosing a measure of restraint for the defendant is being decided.

Earlier in the day on suspicion of receiving a large-scale bribe detained a member of the assembly of deputies of the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk region, the director of the municipal unitary enterprise "Troitsk bathing and laundry combine". According to preliminary data, he committed illegal actions when concluding the lease of non-residential premises.
