Tourist cashback will be introduced in the Tula region

In the Tula Region, tourist cashback will begin to operate. It will be introduced as part of the new "Tourist Card" project. The implementation of the project was discussed the day before, January 27, in the regional government.
TSN24 specifies that the companies involved in this project will make a partial refund to city residents and tourists. For this purpose, they use the payment system "Mir".
"Tourist card" should ensure the promotion of the product at the federal level.
Earlier it was reported that from this year in Tula will begin to charge a tourist tax. The corresponding decision was supported by the deputies of the City Duma on November 27. Charging tax is provided from the final cost of the service of accommodation of guests, excluding VAT. In 2025 the rate will amount to 1% and will be further increased annually until it reaches the maximum value of 5% by 2029.
From January 1, 2025 at least 55 regions of Russia have tourist tax. Among them - popular among Russians destinations, as well as not the most popular (for example, Penza and Saratov regions). In some subjects, the tax applies to the entire territory, and in others - only in certain localities. It is paid as a percentage of the cost of temporary accommodation - no more than 1% in 2025.
