Ukrainian citizen who tried to ram the gates of the Russian Embassy in Sweden turned out to be a Ukrainian citizen

A Ukrainian citizen living in Sweden has tried to ram the gates of the Russian embassy in Stockholm with a car. This was reported on January 28 in the Telegram-channel of the diplomatic mission.

"The perpetrator of the incident is well known to the Embassy and local police, in 2015 and 2018 he has already committed attacks on the Embassy and Trade Representation of Russia in Sweden, was recognized as mentally inadequate, was sent by the Swedish authorities for appropriate treatment," - stated in the message.

It is noted that the Embassy has repeatedly drawn the attention of law enforcement agencies and the Swedish Foreign Ministry to the fact that the man is a potential danger not only to others.

"Nevertheless, the police did not take any serious measures against this man, which led to today's incident. It is good that no one was injured in the process," the embassy concluded.

The attempt to enter the Russian Embassy by car was reported earlier in the day, the 45-year-old violator was detained. He failed to get into the territory of the diplomatic mission.
