The project to modernize water supply in Stavropol was supported in the Council of Ministers of the Russian Federation

Members of the Federation Council at the meeting supported the program of modernization of water supply and water disposal in the Stavropol Territory. More than 100 billion rubles are needed for its implementation, the press service of the governor and regional government reported on Tuesday, January 28.

The project includes more than 30 measures. It will affect two agglomerations - Stavropol and in the Kavminvod region. The implementation of the program will ensure the reliability of water supply to the residents of the regional center, Mikhailovsk and 13 settlements of Shpakovsky and Grachevsky districts.

As StavropolMedia IA writes, now the possibility of connection in these locations is exhausted, so there is a risk of reducing the quality of services. To solve the problem it is necessary to build new housing and utilities facilities, which is possible only with the involvement of federal money.

In September 2024, a roadmap for the project has already been prepared. It is planned, in particular, the construction of a pumping station, reconstruction of the Eshkakon hydrosystem, water intake facilities and other activities.
