The State Duma finalized a bill to ban vape devices in Russia

The State Duma (GD) has finalized a bill on a complete ban on vape devices in Russia. This follows from the updated text of the document.

It notes that the project involves a ban on the production and possession of equipment for the production of nicotine raw materials, nicotine-containing and nicotine-free liquids, devices for their consumption.

As specified by the agency "RIA Novosti", which has the text of the document at its disposal, the bill also proposes to prohibit the circulation and importation of nicotine raw materials, nicotine-containing and nicotine-free liquids, devices for their consumption into the territory of the Russian Federation.

The State Duma may consider a bill on this as early as March

Earlier, on January 20, it was reported that the Council of the State Duma decided to finalize the text of the bill on a complete ban on vape devices in Russia and prepare a new version.

Before that, on December 26, 2024, a bill on a complete ban on the sale of vapes and liquids for them was sent to the specialized committee of the State Duma. The reason for the creation of the project was a sharp increase in the number of users of electronic smoking devices.
