TV channel viju History launches new military-patriotic lineup

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, viju History TV channel launches a new lineup "They Fought for Us".

Viewers will be able to watch fascinating documentary projects dedicated to military-patriotic themes. From February 2 to March 30, viewers will be able to watch films about the turning points of the war, unique rescue and liberation operations, human destinies, and the indestructible spirit of the defenders of the motherland. The pictures will be aired on Sundays at 20:00.

Such documentary projects not only tell about the immortal feat of our ancestors, but also remind about the need to protect peace and freedom", - commented the launch of the new lineup Viasat General Director Alexey Krol.

The selection of films from the series of programs "They Fought for Us" will cover in detail the theme of the Great Patriotic War, will allow to realize the terrible cost of the Great Victory, will tell about little-known pages in the history of the Second World War. The lineup includes exclusively Russian documentaries that impress with their detailed elaboration. Viewers will be transported to the battlefields, get acquainted with the tactics of fighting, see military equipment, hear the memories of heroes.

Opens the line "They fought for us" two-series tape "Great Battles. Stalingrad" - about the heroism of soldiers, the united will of the Soviet people, terrible losses and unshakable spirit of the defenders of the city. The film will be shown on February 2 - the anniversary of the end of the Battle of Stalingrad. The documentary "Armored Boat" will continue the theme, telling about a unique find of those times. In the series of programs "Liberation of Europe" viewers will witness the fateful events at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War. The documentary "Never Again" will touch upon one of the most terrible pages of history - the times of the Holocaust. From the 12-part project "Liberators" will be able to learn about how the Red Army liberated concentration camps. The movie "Great Battles. Kursk" will tell about one of the most important events of the Second World War, which became a turning point.

In documentary projects, which were included in the cycle "They fought for us", were involved famous actors. Dmitry Dyuzhev ("Brigade", "Zhmurki"), Victor Verzhbitsky ("12", "Turkish Gambit"), Andrei Merzlikin ("Brest Fortress", "Swing") took part in the voicing of the films. Sergei Tishin ("Legend #17", "Stranglers"), Oleg Graf ("Hotel Russia", "World War Zero") and others starred as some of the heroes of documentary films.
