Theodosia resident convicted for calling for the murder of Russians


In Feodosia, a court sentenced a 37-year-old local resident to 2.5 years in prison for calling for the murder of Russians. This was reported on January 28 in the press service of the FSSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
"Theodosian was an active participant of Ukrainian chat rooms of messenger Telegram, based on the publication of Russophobic posts. In the discussion the citizen actively called to kill Russians and did not skimp on insults", - noted in the message.
Under publications on the Internet, the man called for the destruction of Russians and supported the oppression of the Russian population, who lived in other countries.
He was charged under Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for the realization of extremist activity, committed with the use of the Internet"). The court, having considered the materials of the investigation, sentenced the man to two years and six months of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
Law enforcers detained the 37-year-old man in Crimeaback in August last year. Then he was assigned a signature on non-departure, as well as the execution of appropriate behavior.
