Dealers named the most popular cars for families with children in Russia

In 2024, the demand for new Chinese cars increased among couples with children in Russia. The top three most popular models are Haval, Geely and Chery, analysts of Avilon dealership holding told Izvestia on January 28.

Thus, the first place in popularity among couples is Haval Jolion, up to 75% of all sales of the model was for couples with children. The second line is Geely Monjaro with the result of 71%. The third was Chery Tiggo 7 (68% of total sales of the brand's lineup).

As noted by analysts, the key factors in the choice of a car for couples were roominess, the ability to transport a large amount of luggage and the comfort of traveling long distances.

Among the cars that arrived in Russia through alternative imports, the most popular among families with children were Lixiang L7 and L9, BMW X5 and X7, as well as Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS.

On January 24, it was reported that the number of offers of used Chinese cars from private sellers and dealers in Russia has increased significantly. The overall share of Chinese cars in the used car market is still insignificant. However, in the category of used cars up to five years old, Chinese cars already occupy 21%, second only to German cars.
