A stage collapse at a religious festival in India killed six people


Six people were killed and 50 others injured after an improvised bamboo stage collapsed during a religious festival in India's Uttar Pradesh state. This was reported on January 28 by the TV channel NDTV with reference to the local police.
It is noted that the bamboo platform was erected near the temple, but under the weight of hundreds of worshippers it collapsed, after which people began to panic, which led to a crush.
Also, the injured were taken to medical facilities. At the moment, an investigation into the incident is underway.
On the same day it became known that in India two people died in the collapse of a four-story building in New Delhi. The cause of the incident has not yet been established. It is specified that rescue work at the moment continues, as there may be people under the rubble.
