Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" will be released on February 20

The Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" will be released on February 20. This project is a big step in strengthening cultural interaction between the countries. The Izvestia columnist discussed the upcoming premiere with actors and experts on January 28.
"Red Silk" is an adventure detective, created with the participation of the National Media Group (NMG), about the events of the late 1920s and the role of the Soviet Union in the formation of the People's Republic of China (PRC). According to the script, Chinese Communists carry important documents to the Soviets along the Trans-Siberian Railway.
"All Chinese, from small to great, know from history textbooks about how in the 20s advisers from the Soviet Union helped our Communists realize the revolution," said Wang Tingzi, a graduate student at the PFUR Institute of Ecology.
For his part, Feng Chenguang, a graduate student of the PFUR Institute of Ecology, noted that bilateral relations between Russia and China help create a balance of power in the world and strengthen the countries' influence.
"Our joint border is more than 4,000 kilometers, one of the longest in the world in general. It is better to establish good relations with our neighbors. The Chinese in the 20s and the Russians, then Soviet people, understood perfectly well that it is better to be friends than to fight," said Alexei Maslov, director of the Institute of Asian and African Countries (ISAA) of Moscow State University.
Actor Gosha Kutsenko said that there was a favorable environment on the set.
"Our Chinese friends thanks to me learned Russian mat. In general, we had everything friendly, because it was extreme," he shared.
It is noted that in China to the Russian movie is now treated reverently. Among the top hits are "Stalingrad", "Invasion" and "Three Cats". And "Red Silk" is awaited as a national premiere.
"This is expensive, high-quality, colorful entertainment for the viewer, especially with a historical basis. These things could definitely happen, and they most likely did. And so, from a historical point of view, it is very interesting to watch," said actor Zhargal Badmatsyrenov in a conversation with Izvestia columnist Pavel Matveev.
Earlier, on October 27 last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Russia's interest in joint film production with China. The head of state pointed out that Chinese President Xi Jinping had made a proposal to increase the pace of joint work between Russian and Chinese filmmakers.
