In Moscow 734 objects for the last 14 years were recognized as monuments of architecture. This was reported on January 28 on the portal of the mayor and the government of the capital mos.ru.

"Such status provides state protection: they can not be demolished, and owners and tenants have no right to carry out any work without coordination with the city. Moreover, they must do everything possible to preserve these objects", - explained on the website of the capital.

Thus, one of such architectural monuments is the Tsar Pavilion of the XV All-Russian Trade and Art Exhibition located on Leningradsky Prospekt, the opening of which was timed to the coronation of Alexander III. This pavilion is the only building of the grandiose exhibition ensemble of the All-Russian Trade, Industry and Art Exhibition of 1882 on Khodynskoye Pole that has survived to this day.

The Riga railway station was also included in the list of cultural heritage objects. The building consists of three two-storied parts, made in the style of Old Russian terems. The outer facade of the building is decorated with elements found in Russian architecture of the XVII century: arched niches with twisted and smooth semi-columns with beads and many decorative belts. The Riga railway station is an example of the Neo-Russian style.

In addition, the Rogozhskaya Ambulatory or the L.N. Sumbul City Hospital for Visiting Patients in Bolshoy Rogozhsky Lane received a protective status. The building was constructed in 1903. Architect Nikolai Blagoveshchensky designed the building in the Neo-Russian style.

The restoration project of this cultural heritage object has already been agreed upon. Thus, specialists will restore the facades, stucco decoration, the central entrance to the building and the lost elements of the fence. And inside they will restore three staircases and replace modern double-glazed windows with oak window frames corresponding to the historical analogs.

Earlier, on January 17, Director General of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Olga Galaktionova said that her main task in her new position will be to preserve and increase the value of the institution.

Before that, on January 4, Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina said that dozens and even hundreds of residents of the capital of different ages in recent years have joined the volunteer corps, which is engaged in the preservation and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of the capital. According to her, volunteers take care of architectural monuments, engage in archaeological excavations and organize events.
