In Moscow within the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow" and the celebration of the Chinese New Year from January 28 to February 9 will be held colorful immersive performances with the participation of a dragon and a green snake - the main symbols of the outgoing and coming years. It is planned that on the opening day of the festival "Chinese New Year in Moscow" at 17:00 hours 100 artists in costumes of Chinese lions, princesses, members of the imperial family, guards, ladies with dragons and red lanterns, sages and elders, ministers-mandarin and warriors of the golden dragon led by large figures of the dragon and snake will pass from Tverskoy Boulevard, Tverskaya Square, Kamergersky Lane and finish on Manezh Square.

As part of the celebration at the monument to K.A. Timiryazev on Tverskoy Boulevard, guests of the capital will be shown a dance of northern guardian lions and a round dance with a large golden dragon. At the next stop, at the monument to Sergei Yesenin, ladies with lanterns, southern lions will dance and there will be a show of a green dragon.

At the same time, on Tverskaya Square at the monument to Yuri Dolgoruky, residents and guests of the city can watch dances of little dragons and lions, as well as take part in an interactive program with Chinese plates rotating on long sticks.

In Moscow's Kamergersky Lane near the monument to Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, an imperial dance with umbrella spies, national flowers of China, and a round dance with a green snake will be organized.

In addition, dragon warriors will perform on Manezh Square to the sounds of drums, gongs and cymbals, court ladies will also take the stage, and afterwards guests will be treated to a show of Chinese lions

"The key moment of the performance will be the ritual of welcoming the New Year in the form of a dance of a big dragon and a green snake. In the finale of the event the artists will perform a medley of Chinese New Year songs to the sound of drums. It is noted that the project "Winter in Moscow" until February 28 combines a variety of events in the capital, including the largest festivals of the capital "Moscow Manors", "Moscow Tea Party", "City of Light", "Snow and Ice in Moscow" and many others.
