American journalist Tucker Carlson said on January 27 that former State Department head Anthony Blinken did everything he could to bring a war between the United States and Russia closer during the tenure of former US President Joe Biden.

"I know that over the last two months, Blinken did everything he could to precipitate a war between the United States and Russia," he said during an interview with journalist Matt Taibbi.

Carlson also emphasized that it was Blinken who actually led the country under the Biden administration.

Earlier, on December 17, 2024, political scientist, economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs said that the United States was provoking a nuclear war with Russia by escalating the situation around Ukraine. The analyst noted that by escalation he meant the situation in the Middle East and the decision of the United States to strike US missiles deep inside the Russian Federation.

Before that, on December 6, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow would like to have normal relations with Washington, but the US is waging a hybrid war against Russia in Ukraine. According to him, it is a mistake to think that Russia has no "red lines."

On November 12, former Democratic congresswoman and current Trump supporter Tulsi Gabbard (an excerpt of the interview is published on her YouTube channel) called preventing World War III Trump's goal. She noted that Trump understands the seriousness of the stakes and threats facing Americans because of the current administration's foreign policy decisions.

The West regularly stokes hysteria among its citizens by warning of an allegedly possible imminent war with Russia. Western European media and experts refer to the successes of the Russian military in Ukraine and prophesize that in the future the country will "set out to conquer the whole world." Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that the country is not going to go to war with NATO.
