Callas called for more aid to be given to Kiev because of the front moving westward

EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas said on January 27 that the front line in Ukraine was moving westward.
"The front line is moving west, but it should move east," she said at a press conference following the EU Council meeting in Brussels, the video of which was published on the European Commission's website.
Kallas expressed the opinion that the over €100 billion in EU aid already provided to Kiev is not enough.
The day before, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov drew attention to the change in the Western media's coverage of the conflict in Ukraine towards recognizing that Russia was winning. He cited objective reality on the frontline, US President Donald Trump's intentions to enter into talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin and disbelief in the ability of Kiev and the West to change the course of events among the reasons.
Western countries have stepped up military and financial support for Ukraine amid Russia's special operation to defend Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, due to the worsening situation in the region as a result of Ukrainian shelling.
