France has called the dissolution of the country's parliament inevitable

The dissolution of the French parliament is inevitable. This was announced on January 27 by the head of the National Rally party, Jordane Bardella, in an address to the media, which was broadcast on the social network X (former Twitter).
"The appointment of parliamentary elections is inevitable as soon as it is legally possible. Only a return to the people will make it possible to form a clear and stable majority for the country," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Bardella also said that in the country "no one is satisfied" with the consensus between Socialists and Republicans, which French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has achieved.
Earlier, on January 12, Bloomberg agency, citing the results of an Ipsos poll, reported that French President Emmanuel Macron's approval rating fell to a six-year low of 21%. For six months, since June 2024, this indicator has fallen by 12%.
Before that, on January 3, the newspaper Le Figaro with reference to a social survey reported that 61% of the population of France are in favor of the resignation of the President. In total, more than 1 thousand respondents took part in the study. In addition, 62% of respondents called Macron's rule authoritarian.
Macron on June 9, 2024 announced the dissolution of the National Assembly and early elections, which was won by a coalition of left-wing parties "New Popular Front" (NFP). Following the defeat of the presidential party, former French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal resigned. After the head of state recognized that the decision to dissolve led to more instability instead of resolving the political crisis.
In early September, the government of Michel Barnier came to power in the country. After about three months, the parliament passed a vote of no confidence in him, and on December 13, the 73-year-old leader of the centrist party "Democratic Movement" Bayrou was appointed the new Prime Minister of France.
Macron, for his part, said during an address to the nation on Dec. 5 that he had no intention of leaving the presidency before the end of his term in 2027. He also reminded that he will not be able to run for re-election.
