Operation of a car wash was banned due to the pollution of a stream in the Pskov region

A car wash was banned from being used due to pollution of the Kolomenka brook in Velikie Luki (Pskov Region). The corresponding decision was made by the court.

An inspection by the prosecutor's office showed that the operation of the car wash did not comply with the legislation on water protection zones. The distance between the stream and the facility was less than provided for by the Water Code of the Russian Federation. This is reported by the Pskov newswire.

The court decision states that the operation of the sink creates a threat of pollution of the water body and violates the rights of citizens to a favorable environment. The legal entity was obliged to stop the activities of the car wash in the water protection zone.
