Court extends arrest of ex-Minzifra deputy head Parshin for another three months

The arrest of former deputy head of the Ministry of Finance Maxim Parshin in the bribery case was extended for another three months. About it on Monday, January 27, reports the correspondent of "Izvestia" from the courtroom.
The measure of restraint in the form of detention was extended until May 12, 2025.
The next court hearing is scheduled for February 3.
The investigation of the criminal case against Parshin on bribery was completed at the end of August 2024. In September, his arrest was extended by the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow until February 12, 2025.
Parshin, who was in charge of grant support for IT companies, was dismissed from his post in July 2023 after suspicions of corruption. That same month, he was first placed under house arrest and then arrested.
The former deputy minister was charged with taking a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation); he did not admit guilt.
