In 2024, Russians received 706 thousand certificates for maternity capital. This was reported on January 27 "Izvestia" in the Accounts Chamber.

It is noted that the number of issued certificates decreased by 218.15 thousand (23.6%). At the same time, 1.8 million families with children disposed of MSC funds in 2024. The number of families with children who used MSC funds increased by 273.85 thousand (by 18.4%) compared to 2023.

At the same time, 4.14 thousand families with children used MSC funds to form a funded pension in 2024, which is 1.41 thousand families more than in 2023.

"The growth may be associated with the expansion of the categories of persons who have the right to direct MSC in this direction of its use. So, from 2024, the right to use funds for the formation of funded pension is extended to all persons entitled to MSC (previously the right was extended only to women)," - explained in the Accounts Chamber.

Earlier, on January 24, "Izvestia" told about how to get maternity capital in 2025. It is not necessary to specially issue a certificate, the information is automatically received by the Social Fund of Russia (SFR) after the registration of the child in the civil registry office. The electronic version of the certificate is then sent to the personal cabinet on "Gosuslugi". There you can also check the balance of funds. If for some reason the payment has not been assigned, it is necessary to submit an application via "Gosuslugi", apply to the MFC or a territorial body of the SFD.
